Clothing Etiquette in Eritrea

Dress modestly and neatly, especially in towns, markets, churches, and government offices, with shoulders and knees covered and very revealing clothing avoided. In Asmara and other urban areas people often dress stylishly but conservatively, while in rural areas and during religious occasions traditional garments such as the white cotton tiblis or netela-like shawls are more common.
