Bargaining Etiquette in Eritrea

Bargaining is normal in Eritrea’s markets, taxi fares, and with informal vendors, but it should be done politely and with a smile rather than aggressively. In Asmara and other towns, fixed prices are more common in shops and restaurants, while haggling is mainly expected in bazaars and for services without posted rates.
