People in Zimbabwe generally expect visitors to avoid waste, conserve water and electricity, and respect local efforts to reuse and repair goods because shortages and high utility costs make frugality a practical norm. In towns and tourist areas, carrying a reusable bottle or bag and not littering is appreciated, while in rural areas it is especially important to leave firewood, water sources, and wildlife habitats undisturbed.
