Smoking is generally allowed in Seychelles only in designated areas, so avoid lighting up in indoor public places, government buildings, public transport, and many restaurants or hotels unless a specific smoking zone is marked. On beaches and in outdoor social settings it may be more tolerated, but locals still expect you to be discreet and to dispose of cigarette butts properly, especially in the islands’ clean, tourism-focused environment.
