Recycling Etiquette in Seychelles

Recycling is still fairly limited in Seychelles, so visitors should not expect the same curbside sorting systems found in many larger countries and should follow any separation instructions at hotels, resorts, or public collection points if they are provided. On Mahé and the other inhabited islands, waste reduction is more common than elaborate recycling, with some communities and businesses encouraging reuse and careful disposal because landfill space is limited.
