Taboos Etiquette in Laos

Avoid touching anyone’s head, pointing your feet at people or sacred objects, or stepping over someone, as these are considered disrespectful. In temples and at homes, dress modestly and remove shoes before entering, and be especially careful around monks and Buddha images, which are treated with strong reverence in everyday life.
