Queueing Etiquette in Laos

Queueing is usually informal in Laos, so people often wait in a loose line or cluster and step forward when the person ahead is clearly finished rather than maintaining a strict single-file queue. In markets, bus stations, and government offices, patience and a calm, unhurried manner matter more than pushing ahead, and locals may rely on social cues or the help of staff to sort out who is next.
