Smoking Etiquette in Kyrgyzstan

Smoking is fairly common in Kyrgyzstan, but you should still avoid lighting up in enclosed public places, on public transport, and in many workplaces or restaurants where it is restricted. In homes and at social gatherings, ask before smoking and expect hosts to prefer you step outside, especially in more traditional settings or around elders.
