Street Food Etiquette in Iran

Street food in Iran is usually bought from small stands, bakeries, or takeaway counters and eaten quickly nearby rather than while walking around, so it is normal to stand at the stall or take the food to a bench, car, or home. Popular examples include falafel, kebab, and fresh breads like sangak or barbari, and in many cities the busiest evening food spots are around bazaars and neighborhood streets rather than formal markets.
