Punctuality Etiquette in Iran

Arriving a little late is often more acceptable than being exactly on time, especially for social visits, dinners, and informal gatherings, where a 15–30 minute delay is usually not seen as rude. For business meetings, official appointments, and religious events, punctuality matters more, but traffic and flexible scheduling still mean many people build in extra time and expect some delay.
