Personal Space Etiquette in Ghana

People in Ghana generally stand and sit closer than many visitors from Europe or North America, and brief touches on the arm or shoulder during conversation are normal rather than intrusive. In crowded markets, trotro rides, and family settings, personal space is flexible, but it is still polite to avoid pushing through people or crowding someone who is clearly trying to keep distance.
