Drinking Water Etiquette in Cyprus

Tap water is generally safe to drink in Cyprus, especially in cities and tourist areas, so many locals and visitors use it directly or keep a reusable bottle. In older villages or some island areas, people may still prefer bottled water for taste, but there is no special ritual around drinking water and it is normal to ask for it in restaurants.
