Tipping Etiquette in Cuba

Tipping is appreciated in Cuba but usually modest: in restaurants and for taxi rides, rounding up or leaving a small extra amount is common rather than giving a large percentage. In tourist-heavy places, service staff may expect tips in cash, and many visitors leave a little extra for hotel porters, guides, or musicians who perform informally.
