Bargaining Etiquette in Cuba

Bargaining is normal in Cuba at private markets, with street vendors, and when hiring informal services, but it is usually not expected in state-run shops or restaurants where prices are fixed. A friendly, light negotiation is common and often done with humor, especially for taxis, souvenirs, and home rentals, while pushing too hard can come across as rude.
