Recycling Etiquette in Congo

Recycling is not yet a strong everyday norm in Congo, so travelers should not expect widespread sorting of household waste or clearly marked recycling bins outside a few hotels, offices, and upscale neighborhoods. In many places, trash is still mixed and disposal systems are limited, so if you want to recycle you may need to keep bottles, cans, and paper separate yourself and ask locally whether any collection point or informal buyer accepts them.
