Smoking Etiquette in Bulgaria

Smoking is still fairly common in Bulgaria, but you should only smoke in designated areas and avoid doing it in enclosed public places, restaurants, and public transport where it is prohibited. In cafés and bars, some venues may have separate smoking sections or allow it on terraces, but it is best to look for ashtrays or ask first rather than assume it is acceptable everywhere.
