Smoking Etiquette in Belize

Smoking is generally restricted to designated outdoor areas and is not welcome in enclosed public spaces, restaurants, buses, or government buildings. Belize has a fairly relaxed social atmosphere, but people still expect you to step away from others and avoid smoking near children, shop entrances, or in crowded tourist spots.
