Bargaining Etiquette in Belize

Bargaining is not a normal part of everyday shopping in Belize, so prices in shops, supermarkets, restaurants, and most taxis are usually fixed and should be paid as quoted. You may be able to negotiate politely at craft stalls, roadside vendors, or for private tours and long taxi rides, but keep it friendly and modest because aggressive haggling can come across as rude.
