People generally queue in an orderly way in shops, banks, and government offices, but in crowded places you may need to stand your ground politely because lines can be looser than in Northern Europe. In busy bazaars, bus stops, and service counters, a calm but firm presence is often more effective than expecting everyone to follow a strict single-file queue.
