Clothing Etiquette in Azerbaijan

Dress modestly in everyday public settings, especially outside Baku and when visiting homes, mosques, or rural areas, where women often cover shoulders and knees and men avoid very casual shorts. In the capital you will see more Western-style clothing, but conservative dress is still the safer norm for showing respect, particularly during religious occasions and family gatherings.
