PDA Etiquette in Azerbaijan

Public displays of affection are generally kept very modest in Azerbaijan, so holding hands is usually fine but kissing, hugging, or lingering touch in public can draw uncomfortable attention, especially outside Baku. This restraint reflects a conservative social code shaped by family values and etiquette, and couples are usually more discreet in parks, on public transport, and in front of elders.
