Tipping Etiquette in Afghanistan

Tipping is not expected in Afghanistan, and in many everyday settings a small extra payment may be politely refused or simply seen as unnecessary. In restaurants, hotels, and with drivers or porters, rounding up or leaving a modest amount is appreciated only when the service is clearly geared toward visitors or higher-end venues.
