Dress is generally casual and practical in everyday life, but neat, modest clothing is expected in towns, offices, and especially when visiting churches or formal events. In the hot climate people often wear light fabrics, yet beachwear, very revealing outfits, or going barefoot are usually reserved for the pool or home rather than streets and shops.
