Recycling Etiquette in Nigeria

Recycling is still limited in everyday life in Nigeria, so travelers should not expect the kind of strict household sorting common in some countries, and it is normal to see mixed waste disposal in many places. In larger cities, however, some neighborhoods, offices, and private companies do separate plastics, cans, and paper, and informal waste pickers often recover valuable materials from bins and dumpsites.
