Bargaining Etiquette in Nigeria
Bargaining is common in Nigeria at open-air markets, with street vendors, transport fares in some settings, and informal services often expected to be negotiated rather than accepted at the first price. In malls, supermarkets, restaurants, and other fixed-price businesses, however, prices are usually non-negotiable, so the norm is to haggle where the setting is informal and to pay the stated price where it is not.
