Tipping is appreciated in Morocco for small services, but it is usually modest rather than automatic or large: round up the bill in cafés, leave a few
dirhams for porters, guides, and taxi drivers, and add about 5–10% in nicer restaurants if service is good. In more traditional settings, especially in markets or family-run places, a small cash tip is often more meaningful than a percentage, and it is best given discreetly with the right hand.
