Gender Norms Etiquette in Lebanon

Lebanon is relatively liberal in its cities, so men and women commonly mix in schools, workplaces, cafés, and nightlife, and casual conversation between genders is normal. At the same time, dress and behavior tend to be more conservative in some neighborhoods and among religious families, so travelers should read the room and avoid assuming the same level of openness everywhere.
