Dress is generally stylish and modest in public, especially in conservative neighborhoods, religious sites, and rural areas, where shoulders and knees should be covered. In Beirut and other urban areas you will see much more Western fashion, but beachwear belongs at the beach and many people still dress up neatly for going out.
