Greetings Etiquette in Kuwait

Greetings in Kuwait are usually warm and fairly formal: men commonly shake hands and exchange a few polite questions before getting to business, while between unrelated men and women it is best to wait and see whether the other person offers a handshake first. Among close friends and family, people may greet with cheek kisses or a longer exchange of salaams, and it is polite to use the right hand and address elders with extra respect.
