Bargaining is normal in Kuwait’s
souqs, especially for
gold, carpets, perfumes, antiques, and other non-fixed-price goods, but it should be done politely and with a smile rather than aggressively. In malls, supermarkets, and most modern shops prices are fixed, while in traditional markets a little back-and-forth is expected and can even be part of the social interaction.
