Dining Etiquette in Jordan

Meals are usually shared generously, and it is polite to accept at least a little of what is offered, eat with the right hand, and wait for the host to begin. In traditional settings you may be served mansaf, the national dish of lamb and rice eaten from a large communal platter, and finishing the food or praising it warmly is a sign of respect.
