Smoking Etiquette in Jamaica

Smoking is generally tolerated in Jamaica in outdoor public spaces and many bars or clubs, but you should not smoke in enclosed public buildings, public transport, or anywhere a no-smoking sign is posted. In resorts and tourist areas the rules are usually enforced more strictly, and locals may be relaxed about cigarettes but less so about smoking near children, elders, or in crowded social settings.
