Photography Etiquette in Jamaica

Ask before photographing people, especially in rural communities, markets, or during religious events, because many Jamaicans consider it intrusive unless you have clearly made eye contact and received permission. It is usually fine to take pictures of beaches, street scenes, and public landmarks, but be discreet around police, military sites, and private homes, and some vendors or performers may expect a small payment if you want a posed shot.
