Smoking Etiquette in Israel

Smoking is generally restricted to designated outdoor areas, and you should not smoke in indoor public spaces, on public transport, or in many restaurants and bars. Israelis are often direct about asking someone not to smoke nearby, and in some places you may see separate smoking sections or people stepping outside for a cigarette rather than lighting up casually in shared spaces.
