Queueing Etiquette in Indonesia

Queueing is generally expected in Indonesia, especially at banks, government offices, and popular food stalls, but the line may be looser and people sometimes ask who is last rather than forming a perfectly straight queue. In crowded or informal settings, patience and a calm tone matter more than strict order, and at busy warung or transport counters it is normal to wait your turn while staff manage the flow.
