Dining Etiquette in Bangladesh

Eat with your right hand when sharing a meal, and use the left hand only for tasks considered unclean; if utensils are offered, it is still polite to follow the host’s lead and avoid touching food with the left hand. In many homes and traditional gatherings, guests are served first and may be offered extra rice, fish, or sweets as a sign of hospitality, while refusing food too quickly can seem impolite.
