Alcohol Etiquette in Bangladesh

Alcohol is generally avoided in public and in everyday social settings, and many Bangladeshis do not drink for religious reasons, so a traveler should not expect it to be offered casually. It is mainly found in licensed hotels, bars, and a few restaurants serving foreigners or non-Muslims, while buying or carrying it openly can draw unwanted attention outside those settings.
