Bargaining is generally not expected in shops, markets, or with taxi drivers in Vanuatu, where prices are usually set plainly and haggling can feel out of place. The main exception is informal roadside stalls or craft sellers, where a small, friendly negotiation may happen, but it should stay light and respectful rather than pushy.
