Meat Etiquette in United States of America

Meat is a central part of many American meals, so serving beef, chicken, pork, or barbecue is normal and usually expected at casual gatherings, restaurants, and holidays. Vegetarian or religious restrictions are generally understood if you mention them in advance, but in some regions and family traditions a big grilled steak, burgers, or Thanksgiving turkey still signals hospitality and abundance.
