Bargaining Etiquette in Tuvalu

Bargaining is generally not expected in Tuvalu, especially in shops, markets, and for everyday services where prices are usually set informally but taken as fixed. On the outer islands and at small stalls, a friendly conversation may sometimes lead to a small adjustment or a better deal, but haggling aggressively can feel out of place in a community where personal relationships and politeness matter more than squeezing out the lowest price.
