Toilets Etiquette in Sao Tome and Principe

In São Tomé and Príncipe, expect toilets to be basic outside better hotels and restaurants, so carry your own tissue or hand sanitizer and do not assume paper will be provided or that waste bins will be inside the stall. In homes and some older public facilities, plumbing can be fragile and water may be limited, so use the toilet paper bin if one is present and be prepared for a more manual, less automated setup than in many tourist destinations.
