Smoking Etiquette in Mozambique

Smoking is generally tolerated in outdoor public spaces and in many bars or informal social settings, but you should avoid lighting up in enclosed places unless the venue clearly allows it. In Maputo and other cities, people are usually polite about it, yet it is still best to ask before smoking near elders, in homes, or during meals, where courtesy matters more than strict enforcement.
