Social Hierarchy Etiquette in Lithuania

Lithuanians generally expect a fairly flat social style, so people usually address each other directly and politely without much deference to titles or rank in everyday settings. In formal workplaces and with older people, however, it is still wise to show respect through punctuality, reserved manners, and using proper forms of address until invited to be more informal.
