Drinking Water Etiquette in Lithuania

Tap water is generally safe to drink in Lithuania, and many locals use it directly at home, in cafés, and in public places without hesitation. In restaurants, bottled water is common but not required, and in some rural or older buildings people may still prefer filtered or bottled water because of local plumbing rather than the water supply itself.
