Bargaining Etiquette in Liberia

Bargaining is common in informal markets, street stalls, and with private taxi drivers, but it is usually done politely and with a light, friendly tone rather than aggressive haggling. In shops with fixed prices, supermarkets, and restaurants, prices are generally not negotiated, and in many places a brief back-and-forth over the first quote is expected before settling on a fair amount.
