Tipping Etiquette in Kenya

Tipping is appreciated in Kenya but usually modest: in restaurants and for guides or drivers, a small extra amount is common when service is good, while many locals simply round up the bill or leave a few hundred shillings. In higher-end hotels and safari lodges, staff may expect tips more regularly, but in everyday eateries and taxis it is not obligatory and often not built into the price.
