Bargaining Etiquette in Kenya

Bargaining is normal in Kenya at open-air markets, roadside stalls, and when hiring taxis or guides, but it should be done politely and with a smile rather than as a hard confrontation. In supermarkets, malls, and most formal shops the price is fixed, while in tourist areas sellers may start high and expect a brief back-and-forth before settling on a fair amount.
