Photography Etiquette in Iceland

Photography is generally fine in public places in Iceland, but ask before taking close-up photos of people, workers, or private property, and be especially careful around farms, homes, and small communities where privacy is valued. In sensitive natural areas, follow posted rules and stay on paths, since many locals are protective of fragile landscapes and may object if visitors ignore barriers or photograph in a disruptive way.
