Being a little late is often socially acceptable in Greece for informal plans, dinners, and gatherings, so arriving exactly on the minute can feel more rigid than local expectations. For business meetings, appointments, and official events, though, punctuality is taken more seriously, and it is polite to call ahead if you will be delayed.
