PDA Etiquette in Ecuador

Public displays of affection are usually modest in Ecuador, so holding hands or a quick kiss is generally fine, but prolonged hugging, heavy kissing, or overtly sexual behavior in public can draw uncomfortable looks. In more conservative towns and among older people, keeping affection low-key is especially appreciated, while nightlife areas in Quito, Guayaquil, and beach resorts tend to be more relaxed.
